Well, let's see.
I'm about 5'9", I hate unnecessary repetition and the saying "it is what it is." I love keyboard shortcuts, Occam's razor (delete, delete, delete), and design systems. I moved to Detroit to attend CCS for advertising and never left, though I do honestly miss the lake sometimes. And even though I love Detroit, I really want to move far enough in any direction that I either end up in the mountains, or some city where the native language isn't English.
As for my career so far, I worked in advertising for a bit but honestly enjoyed working on websites way more than TV spots. So I left advertising to work within the digital product space. While at Vectorform, I've worked on mixed reality, automotive HMIs, data platforms, and mobile experiences. My title is technically 'interactive designer', but with VF having a small-ish design team, we end up doing a mix of things.
When not in front of a screen, you could usually find me playing soccer, hockey, or ping pong with friends (pre-pandemic), but now days it's more so tinkering with my bike and absorbing HBO.
